Uhm, so yeah, I'll just be quiet for a little bit while people log on.
Gas number has stayed steady for awhile, so we'll just get going. My name is nowish leader on one of the admissions counselors here at Morgridge and I also have with me here. Rachel doing it. Just introduce yourself. Hi Everybody. My name is Rachel Riley. I am are other admissions counselor and I will be providing the information for the programs that I support and then we also have a student joining us.
Hi, I'm Bethany. I'm one of the graduate assistants here in the admissions office and I'm also a second your Masters student in the higher education program.
OK, so yeah, we will get started there. There's a question about dialing and we're going to look into that to see if there's an option to do that. But yeah, so the format of this is kind of to give some.

Who we have a dial in Phone number it is and we're going to just chat it. We're going to type it in here. So Rachel. You can see that and dial in to hear the audio, but the format of this is just going to be giving you some basic information about our University. Ann are Graduate School here and will go into each of our programs a little bit and at the end of that will talk about applying and what to do for that.
Once we're done, then we'll have time for some question and answers. I know that we have a lot of questions and answers or questions that were proposed when you registered, so will try to hit those questions as well as if you have questions that pop up as we go along. So yeah, it as we go along. If you have some question, just feel free to type it in an will. Try to get to that at the end so I'm good. OK so.
A little bit about our University. We are for the University of Denver, so we're really close to dead were in Denver were 20 minutes from downtown a little bit S Ann 50 minutes. I think it's more like 45, so into the mountains. So we're Metropolitan campus and we are pretty close to the mountains. So I know a lot of times when people come to Denver.
I notice right away that Denver is not in the mountains, but we're right at the foothills of it. So right at the start of the mountains, the University itself is about half and half graduate and undergraduate students.
So it's it's actually quite a bit of graduate students here compared to the undergrad. I'm not sure many schools have that popular that split like that.
A lot of organizations. A lot of undergrad organizations. But of course, we have a lot of graduate organizations and a lot of them are housed. He ran a lot of our students are very active in organizations within our college. An within the whole University.
Yeah, so do. You would have. You would have an opportunity to be involved with in our school and the whole University as well.
And just a couple of highlights of the school is that we have the Richie Center, which is home to the Athletics. You can get a membership there and during the gym, but it also houses. That's where the basketball teams play the hockey teams. Hockey is really big here.
Yeah. So that's kind of a main part. We have a great academic Commons for it. I mean, you know, it's basically our library and that also health and counseling center.
It. There's a lot of services for students that a lot of students take advantage of.
Our specific college. So our college is one of the biggest in the University we have over 850 students with 9 programs and 23 degree options. Then Furthermore were not just classes or programs, but we have a lot of things going on within our buildings that so the Marsico.

Give us a sec Rachael we're trying to figure it out for you!
The Center for rural school health and education. The positive early learning experiences. So crush we say crush and pay lay those 3 things really focus on research. Reaching out for communities. Sometimes it's reaching out to Denver communities, but other times were reaching out across the world, really giving lending our research and expertise to people in need of that or looking for that.
Expert expertise and research and a lot of our students are involved in these things through graduate assistantships, mainly jobs and things like that. The counseling and educational service clinic that is within our building and service. Our local community as well. A lot of our students in the counseling psychology program, an child family in school psychology, an early childhood and special Ed programs.
To have their practicums there so they get a lot of our research experience there. Soon the profession professor ratio that really varies for the program that degrees, but basically their classes anywhere from.
5 students in a class all the way up to maybe, maybe 25 might be the absolute Max, but generally were around that 15 to 20 mark for most of our classes. And then we'll get to think we'll get to financial aid later on by 100% of our students receive scholarship. So that is based on your application, we get the question a lot. Is it based on your financial need or just your application? Is your just your application so?
When you apply here, if you are admitted 100% of the students will get a scholarship of some sort. So.
OK, first program that we will talk about is school psychology.
So this is a degree that will well, OK, there are 3 different degree options. the Masters, the eds and the PhD. the Masters is basically a stepping stone to give you the master so that you can apply for the PhD. So we get a lot of questions. Would you want the MA or the eds If your goal if your primary goal is the pH D you could apply for the Masters and then.
During that first year, you can apply for the pH D. However, 99% of students fit more with that eds because the eds is a 3 year program designed to give you licensure.
And that's the bread and butter of this degree. Is our. This program is to get you that licensure to become a school psychologist. We are accredited by Nasp, which is a big one for eds and PhD and the PhD just got a an accreditation from a PA. the American Psychological Association, so that's pretty big PhD. We also have a PhD pathways program, so if you do have a.
An ASP approved Eds Degree and license. You can do this pathways program for your PhD.
OK, so that is this school psychology and Rachel Roll. Awesome. Hi Everybody.
So for counseling site, we have a master's and a pH. D the Masters is a 2 year program that has 2 different concentrations. One is the clinical mental health concentration in the others. The research concentration, similar to what Noah mentioned about 99% of people in this program go for the DS4 CP. 99% of the applicants are interested in the clinical mental health concentration.
Which is because it leads to licensure as a licensed professional counselor or LPC? We also have specializations within that clinical mental health concentration that allows students to focus in on specific areas such as addictions, multicultural counseling.
Of family in adolescents, couples all of that. But all of those specializations will still allow students to be eligible for them. LPC credential and then our PhD is roughly 4 to 7 years. 3 years of curriculum. One year of a full time internship and then however many years dissertation. It allows students to be licensed psychologists with in Colorado and most other states similar for.
MA. The license is good for Colorado and most other states. The MA is accredited by the Masters in psychology and counseling accreditation Council which can be considered to be a key craft equivalent in our PhD program is accredited by EPA.
