GSSW Faculty Highlight Series: Jessica Zaslav

Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at 4:00 PM until 5:00 PMMountain Daylight Time UTC -06:00

Join us for our first Faculty Highlight Series of the year featuring Jessica Zaslav, Assistant Professor of the Practice at GSSW. This session invites prospective and admitted students to hear Jessica discuss her passion for field education and helping students connect classroom learning with real-world social work practice. She’ll share insights from her clinical experience working with high-risk youth, adults, and families, with a particular focus on trauma, interpersonal violence, grief and loss, and homelessness. Jessica believes effective social workers grow by embracing discomfort, navigating uncertainty, and developing the self-awareness needed to become powerful agents for change. As a former GSSW field instructor, field liaison, and adjunct faculty member, she is passionate about supporting and mentoring students throughout their social work education. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with Jessica and gain an inside look at field education, mentorship, and the student experience at GSSW.
